This page summarizes what is currently visible at scale for 278,547 Michigan providers and the economic context of the counties where they practice.

Provider coverage

278,547 providers have records in our database for Michigan. The data is sourced from CMS Open Payments, Medicare Physician & Other Practitioners Public Use File, NPPES, and the OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities. We do not include user-generated reviews, ratings, or commentary — only verifiable federal records.

These rankings reflect raw provider counts, not quality or volume of care. A specialty appearing high on this list means there are more providers registered in Michigan; it does not mean those providers receive higher Medicare payments or industry transfers than peers elsewhere.

What you can do with this data

For each Michigan provider profile, we publish: NPI, specialty, practice address, Medicare submitted charges and beneficiary counts, Open Payments industry transfers broken down by manufacturer and payment category, PECOS enrollment status, and OIG exclusion status. We provide canonical URLs, structured JSON-LD metadata, and a sitemap index for crawlers. We do not sell access and do not accept payment from providers to remove or modify profile content. Starting 2026-08-08, the site carries standard programmatic display advertising (Google AdSense), unrelated to any specific profile — see Trust.

Methodology and limitations

Our methodology is documented in full at /methodology. Key caveats specific to Michigan:

• State board license verification is currently only available for Florida providers. Michigan medical board records are published separately by the Michigan licensing authority and we have not yet integrated them.
• Payment dollar amounts are reported as published by CMS; we do not adjust for inflation or specialty norms.
• A provider listed as PECOS-enrolled but without Medicare claims or Open Payments is shown with a minimal record because the federal claims dataset has no additional public information for that NPI.
